*STARS OF THE WEEK*

***I am a wonderful new Pebble….***

Albert, Alfred, Alivia and Daisy - We have all settled brilliantly into Pebbles in our first week, following the Pebbles routine and making new friends so quickly. The grown-ups are very impressed! 

Dear parents,

Well this week was suppose to be about signs of Spring, hummmm. The weather has been so awful that if we have been outdoors in has been in the play area or on the school field where we did P.E and ran around lots to stay warm rather than looking for signs of Spring.  Although, there are signs of Spring the weather was definitely not Spring like but Stevie promises us it will be next week so we are very much hoping to get up to the Forest School site and out of walks in the SUNSHINE looking for those signs!!

However, we have made good use of our time spent indoors, starting our Mother's day cards early, doing lots of tricky puzzles, playing with the construction toys, learning about different types of bears, as well as the older children completing dot-to-dots and colouring by number - very impressive!

We love taking ideas from the children when planning themes and activities and the children love the lava game at the moment, but the grown-ups are not so sure.  However,  we are happy when we can make an activities that the children enjoy more educational and challenging. Hence, the grown-ups have developed the game so that the children have to find different places to stand/sit when the lava comes.  On Friday we turned it into a P.E activity where they had to get on something that was a certain colour. The kids still love it and it stretches their thinking, it's a win-win!

Next week....second attempt at signs of Spring, fingers crossed.
