***I am good at making links in my learning….***
Bodhi - We loved that you pretended the microscope was a juicer and the shells were fruit.
Reggie - We were so impressed with your identifying of carnivores and herbivores dinosaurs and giving reasons why you thought were one or the other
Benjamin - Mandy was so impressed when you did maths with her. You could make the groups bigger or small and were very good at taking away.
Lucas - You have had a brilliant week, we love that you left monkey on the side for ages, you happily held another child's hand on a work and you eat your school dinners so well.
Dear parents,
We have been very impressed with the categorising the children have done this week. The younger children sorted them into groups - Ruby was very good at this and the older children identified which dinosaurs were carnivores or herbivores. We used the internet to check our guesses and there were a few surprises. Reggie was very good at this.
We love our new dinosaur cutters which we used to make dinosaur biscuits. I am afraid the first patch were rather over cooked as I took them home and forgot about them!! However, we managed to make all the children a second one to have for afternoon snack on Thursday.
The children made great dinosaur skeletons with black card and straws, which encouraged them to name the dinosaurs and the different bones, as well as develop there fine motor skills cutting the paper straws.
Next week we are moving onto vehicles and transportation. We will start with trains and tractors, with a focus on Thomas the tank engine, making a train out of boxes and tractor out of the Polydrons out in the garden.
Have a lovely weekend,
The Pebbles team.
