***Great stamina and kindness….***

Alfred and Arayah - We were so impressed with how well you walked on Friday, you let other children and grown-ups hold your hands to help you along.  You didn't moan once. 

You were both brilliant!!

Leia - You were such a kind girl, holding Alfred's hand and helping him on the walk, you also sat beautifully on the bug rug - legs crossed, listening and following every instruction to the letter.  You are so ready for school Leia!

Dear Parents,

Well it's been another jam-packed week at Pebbles.  There was Sports Day with the school on Wednesday afternoon.  Despite very little practise the children did brilliantly, mostly staying in their track during the running and beanbag race.  The school leavers also did the obstacle race and the only tears we had was because one child wanted to run more! 

Jane had produced the accessories for the event with the children, so they all had a flag to wave, that they had painted and a medal to wear, that they had helped to make.

The children made a representation of our time at the Forest School site by getting their wellies muddy and then printing them on a piece of material. Mandy brought in baby carrot and tomato plants that the children planted out in our tyres, after weeding them.  Hopefully, the plants will grow as well as the weeds and grass has this year.   

We decided to exhaust the children on Firday with a walk in the morning and our own sports day in the afternoon out on the school playing field, when the older children got to run all the way to the end of the track like the big school children.  The Friday children should have slept very well last night!

Next week, as Summer has finally arrived we will be starting to think about the seaside/beach, places we go on holiday and how we stay safe in the water.  On Wednesday afternoon we will be doing our sponsored walk @ 1.15 and very much hope that lots of you can join us.
