 OUR LITTLE FIREWORKS (8.11.2024)

  • *STARS OF THE WEEK*

    ***I am good at sharing….***

Alivia - You are good at sharing and so much more. You are a helpful, kind friendly child

and you have been an absolute star this week.

Oscar - You have got much better at not saying 'he/she is not sharing' now that toys are not being brought in

and you were lovely sharing with Lenny on Monday.

Maisie - You are also a very kind child and you did brilliant sharing with Noella.

    Dear Parents,

We have had a mixture of themes this week.  On Monday and Tuesday we focused on Bonfire Night and Fireworks.  The children created hand printed firework pictures with Ruby and in P.E. we moved like catherine wheels, rockets and the exploding ones, before dancing to 'Firework' by Katy Perry as little Ruby requested a dance when asked what she wanted to do in P.E.

On Wednesday we added the baby birds to the Spring window on our display board.  We also cleared the tables and let the children chose what they wanted out.  We loved that Brody remembered the foam bricks we had in the cupboard and the children found so many different things to do with them from making a very long path to walk along; making a wall that they walked could jump off; making a brigde to crawl though (Stevie's idea - very impressive) and of course making very tall towers!

We also went for a walk to the farm, where we saw the horses; found puddles and spent lots of time playing under the large farm shelter.  We had a surprise Wild Worship session with Reverend Claire on Thursday, where the children heard the story of the burning bush and then played follow the leader. We finished off the week with a walk to the church.  The children should be thoroughly exhausted this weekend.

Next week we will be making some woodpeckers (as they are Autumn birds) and binoculas as our craft activities.  Listening to woodpeckers on the tablet (I don't think there are any near Pebbles) and working out which instruments make the best woodpecker noise and making the red kite for the last window of our display.

We hope you have a lovely weekend,

    The Pebbles team.
