Dear Parents,
What a lovely first, almost full week we have had back at Pebbles. Our focus has been Spring and our life cycle/growing focus has begun! The children have been thinking about signs of Spring. We found some lovely meadow flowers on our walk and went hunting to see if the apple trees in the Forest School site were in bossom.
In P.E. we named different babies animals we see at this time of year - we choice lambs, chicks, other types of birds and bunnies to represent whilst playing our spot game.
For craft the children painted flowers and stuck them on lollipop sticks as the stems, we also did lots of chalking of flowers and sunshine and rain out on the playground floor showing that we know what plants need to grow.
Next week our craft activity will be caterpillar related and we are hoping we will have some of our own arriving so that we can watch them grow and change. I am sure we will read the hungry catterpillar and use the book to enjooy the children to identify and order numbers 1 to 7 as well as naming the days of the week.
The Pebbles team.
