Zach - All the teachers loved that you asked the other children 'if anyone wanted anymore milk?'

Bodhi - For giving the train straight back to one of our new children as they started to get upset.

Avani - You are always so kind to the other children, we loved that you let your sister carry the basket of blackberries back to Pebbles we you, even though it made it more difficult.

Dear Parents,

We have had a lovely first full week back at Pebbles.  We started our focus on 'Me and my family' but got slightly distracted by lots of time spent outdoors looking for foods to harvest.  We were disappointed by the blackberries and apples at the forest school site and came back with nothing.  However, on our Wednesday walk we found lots of blackberries.  Quite a few were eaten on the walk and lots were brought back to Pebbles for afternoon snack.  On Friday we harvested the carrots we had been planted before the summer.  There were lots of different shapes and sizes and we loved comparing them. 

Thank you to Alfred, Finley, Mason and Violet and their parents for providing their family photos.  It is lovely to see how the children's faces light up when they tell the other children about their family members and how interested the other children are.  I think it the noisy side of human nature that comes out in them, but it's great.

So next week we will be looking for children that have a 'can do' attitude.  No matter how small the achievement we will celebrate the child being willing to give new or difficult things a go.  We will continue our theme of 'me and my family' using paper plates to represent our faces and making comparisons between ourself - different and matching eye and hair colour.  Could we please have more family photo?
