***I am just great in my own way….***
Bodhi - The difference in you in just two weeks of Talk Boost is amazing Bodhi. You are now sitting beautifully and listening; joining in with the song whcih we know isn't always your favourite thing to do and answering questions when we read the story, well done!
River - What a kind girl you are bringing in dinosaur stikcers and stamps to share with the other children at Pebbles; they loved them. What Stevie loved was how you pulled the chairs out for them to sit down before you shared the dinosaur items with them, that is so sweet!
Ivy - You impressed Rebecca this week showing that you could predict were 4 different 3D shapes went on the shape puzzle we were doing. what a clever girl you are!
Dear Parents,
We continued our dinosaur focus, as we loved it so much last week, but we looked more at the environment the dinosaurs lived in. So we had a go at creating some volcanos. We tried lots of different combinations including coke, water, vinegar and milk for the liquid alongside bicarbonate of soda and mentos as the component that would make the volcano explode or bubble. Initially lots of the children thought the coke would make the explosion but they discovered it was the vinegar and bicarbonate of soda that created the best reaction on day one. On day two we tried a different vinegar that made really good bubbling lava.
We then got adventurous and tried making crystals. Oscar said we were making diamonds which would be very handy as that would give us all the money we would need for a new building ha,ha. Unfortunately we did not have much success with the crystals, we really needed to dissolve the powder on a hob (hence why we would like a proper kitchen area), so no diamonds or any other types of crystals I'm afraid.
However, the children did create great dinosaur masks and a painted landscrape for the dinosaurs with everything they could possibly need.
The climbing frame and slide have returned to my garage so that we can turn that corner into a role play area after half-term. Mason thought turning it into a doctors surgery woule be good so that is what it will be during week 1
